Professor Kirsten Nielsen
Professor Emerita of Old Testament, The Institute of Biblical Studies, Aarhus University
Professor Nielsen became Reader in the Old Testament Faculty of Theology at Aarhus University in 1976 and was made Professor at the Institute of Biblical Studies, Aarhus University, in 1995. She retired in 2009. She received a PhD honoris causa from Menighetsfakultetet, Oslo, Norway in 2008. Her publications in Danish include studies of images of God in modern Danish Hymns, on intertextuality, and on metaphors for God in the Psalter. She has been editor of Salmer.dk since 2009.
