Policies
The Rules that constitute the Society for Old Testament Study, together with the policies that govern how it works.
The Society for Old Testament Study is governed by its Rules — the constitution agreed by the membership and most recently revised in 2017. Alongside the Rules sit the policies that set out how the Society runs its meetings, awards its prizes, and conducts itself online.
Every one of those documents is listed below. The Committee reviews them periodically, and members are consulted before any substantive change is made; proposals are put to the Annual Business Meeting. Documents that are currently being drafted are listed here as well, so that members can see what is in preparation rather than having to ask.
