Participants in the SOTS/OTW Joint Meeting are welcome to attend EABS sessions. The main Old Testament sessions of EABS will not be convened during the SOTS/OTW sessions, and EABS participants are welcome to attend SOTS/OTW sessions. For the EABS programme, see the EABS conference page.

SOTS members who wish to take part in the Guided Tour of Lincoln Cathedral (including the Cathedral Library) which EABS has arranged for 2-4 p.m. on Thursday 30th July at a cost of £3.75 per person should contact Professor Philip Davies (p.davies@shef.ac.uk).

Domestic Arrangements

The charges for hospitality, either for the SOTS/OTW Joint Meeting exclusively or to include the wider EABS participation before and after the SOTS/OTW component, are shown on the Booking Form. Members are requested to pay their accounts in full when returning the form but, if necessary, a non-returnable booking fee of £35 will be accepted and the balance will be payable on arrival at the Meeting. Members should note that on this occasion, due to the complexities of organising the coordinated meetings, partial Joint Meeting bookings (i.e. bookings for only a part of the SOTS/OTW Joint Meeting) cannot be accepted.

Please send the Booking Form to the SOTS Hospitality Secretary, Ms Elizabeth Harper, Flat 4, 69–70 Crossgate, Durham DH1 4PR (e-mail e.a.harper@dur.ac.uk), so as to arrive by Friday 22nd May 2009 (for the discount price) or at the latest by Monday 22nd June 2009; no bookings can be accepted after that later date. Alternatively, on this occasion, bookings can be made through the EABS website (as above). If you book through EABS you can attend SOTS/OTW sessions; if you book through SOTS or OTW for the coordinated meetings package you can attend EABS sessions. But please only book with one Society!

Correspondence concerning the affairs of SOTS should be sent to the Society’s Secretary, Dr John Jarick, St Stephen’s House, 16 Marston Street, Oxford OX4 1JX (e-mail john.jarick@theology.ox.ac. uk). Applications for a Conference Grant to assist in meeting the costs of attending the Meeting (using the application form available at www.sots.ac.uk/conferencegrant.html) must reach him by Friday 8th May 2009. Proposals for new members of the Society (using the proposal form available at www.sots.ac.uk/membershipform.html) must reach him by Tuesday 30th June 2009.

Information on the location of the conference is available here. Parking is only available on site for those with special needs (please contact the Hospitality Secretary if you need a parking permit).
